Building a case, or how not to lose a construction dispute: 20 years of tips, secrets and stories.

Our guest speaker, barrister Greg Thomson, has been involved in construction disputes for 20 years. In that time he has appeared in everything from small domestic building disputes to multimillion-dollar infrastructure arbitrations. He has often appeared both for and against the Queensland Building and Construction Commission in regulatory matters.

What are the common mistakes and misconceptions of practitioners in building disputes, and how can they be avoided?  What are the main reasons why building disputes are lost? How can building dispute practitioners, both lawyers and experts, have a positive impact on the disposition of building disputes? How should practitioners approach their dealings with judicial officers? And what lessons about the management of people, paper and disputes can be derived from 20 years of involvement in the process?

Join your colleagues and our guest speaker for this informative and entertaining breakfast presentation, which will address these questions and more.

Breakfast will include a light hot breakfast, danishes, fruit, tea, coffee and juice.
